These vessel-figures sit between human and animal, container and being. Their forms recall ancient jars and mummified cats: chosen to  hold offerings, memories, or remains.

The series began while I was thinking about reverence and sacrifice: how our society chooses what to preserve, and what we are willing to lose: Who influences those decisions, and who benefits.

The cats, at once watchful and still, hold that tension quietly. Guardians, witnesses, or offerings themselves. Thrown vase with hand-built figurative lid. Stoneware, glazed in natural earth tones.

Approx. 15x15x30cm.
